All Them Witches Interview

Needless to say much about All them witches, one of my personally favourite bands together with Greece's audience as I expected, when the news of the band coming to perform blasted, a complete chaos took over the local underground scene. So, what follows and is demanded is a proper interview with them people!

Hello there, we are more than stoked to wait for your arrival and performance in Greece! How are you feeling at the moment, considering the fact that your upcoming gig has shaken the local scene?

I personally was not aware that our music had so much influence over your scene, so I am happy to say that we are happy to be visiting your beautiful country, and we are coming to do what we always do, play music and have a good time.

After the news of having you here, I have been chatting with friends who believe your sound is one of the most particular and definitely not indifferent, we came to the conclusion that you are some dirty, psychedelic, fuzztastic groovers. Which are your main influences when putting your tunes together and how would you describe your music?

Harry Nilsson said “You see what you want to see, and you hear what you want to hear.” Dirty, psychedelic, fuzztastic groovers works for me just fine.

Moreover, your lyrics are also one of a kind. Is there any story behind them or do they just accompany successfully the sound you produce?

Lyrics are damn near impossible to convey to someone else, moreover, I believe that music is and should be experienced differently by everyone who ventures to hear it, so draw whichever conclusions you want.

When you finalize every track, which are your expectations from your audience? Which are the feelings you wish to trigger to every listener?

We have 0 expectation on the audience except that they should be enjoying themselves, and if not, they should go find enjoyment elsewhere, no hard feelings.

In the event's description, “sweaty beats and dope riffs” are promised for the concert. Knowing you make every one of your shows one of a kind, is there something more for the greek audience to expect from you?

Sometimes “sweaty beats and dope riffs,” are all you need.

Are you familiar with any greek bands and if so, which ones?

Sad to say, I don’t know any Greek bands, but I hope that changes during our trip.

I'm sure that when you first started, you never thought you would receive such acceptance from a wide audience. What do you advise new bands to do in order to achieve the same level of success?

If you truly love what you do, the path shows up on it’s own.

When you started working on your new album, juggling other obligations and your art must have been quite difficult. How did you manage to handle this?

Music is my only job now and has been for a few years, not saying it has been easy, but I will say for me it has been worth it to find peace of mind trying to make interesting art for a living.

After having finished the material for producing an album, which is the best way, in your opinion, to promote it and catch the attention of the public?

Probably start some sort of scandal.

This is the famous “FreeMode” section, say whatever you want to finish this interview. See you at Gagarin 205, Athens with Asteroid plus some special guest on 27 February 2016.

Are there any monsters left in Greece to go and battle? If so, where? If no, why not? Who is your favorite T.V. chef? What is your favorite color? Do you know who Charlie Brown is?
