Welcome to Full Throttle (Radio Show) blog and welcome to our music world too guys. It's a pleasure to have the opportunity to know more about you through this interview.

Metalsteel how / why and when everything get started?


Beny and me (Rok) met in our hometown Medvode when we were 10 and 12 years old. We shared the same interest to form a band and later on we find the other members and Metalsteel was established. Our first official gig was in 2001. This line-up with Beny on vox & guitars, Matej on bass, Dasa on drums and me on guitar is the same from 2005.
Tell us some things about the music condition in your country. Are there good opportunities for a heavy metal band like you?

Well our country is currently in an economic crisis so it is not very opportunistic to be a musician at this point. But luckily we have a well-known status in the metal/rock scene in our country and we have a loyal fan base here. We are very happy about that…

Always an European tour is a huge boost for a band. How fast after your creation did you decided to play around?

We wanted to play as much as possible from the very beginning. But first time we went to play abroad was in 2007 I think. We went to Serbia and Switzerland. Later on we started to work with American singer James Rivera (Helstar) and we played numerous shows in different European countries as his support band.

Is music changed your lifes and if yes how?

Of course. Music is the most important thing in our lives since our early childhood. We have this band for a very long time so it is realy important to us. Music is the way of living and it is sometimes really hard but mostly extremely pleasant way indeed.
Tell us a few words about your discography and the feedback you get from the people that hear your work.

We released 5 studio albums and one double live album. The latest album is called THIS IS YOUR REVELATION and it is at least for us the best album we made so far. It has the awesome sound and great arrangements and interesting combinations of different musical elements.

The feedback from the press and fans is awesome and it means a lot to us. We are pleased with any kind of feedback cause it proves that people are interested in our music.

 

What’s the current status of the band?

Well, we signed a worldwide deal with the German EAM booking agency. We are planning to go on a European tour in autumn. We will also release a new video for the song “Call Off the War” soon. We are playing on a Metaldays festival in summer which will be crazy again. Join our facebook page and stay tuned for more info :) .

We played a couple of shows with James Rivera in Greece and it was one of the best tours we did ever. The Greek metalheads are crazy and enthusiastic and we would really like to return to Greece.
